Council Meeting

THAT the Regular Council Meeting held on January 26, 2026 be called to order at 6:05 p.m.

THAT a Closed Meeting of Council be held on January 26, 2026 at 6:06 p.m. at the Wilmot Administrative Complex, in accordance with Section 239 (2) (i) of the Municipal Act, to consider the following: Regional water supply update Section 239 (2) (i) a trade secret or scientific, technical, commercial, financial or labour relations information, supplied in confidence to the municipality or local board, which, if disclosed, could reasonably be expected to prejudice significantly the competitive position or interfere significantly with the contractual or other negotiations of a person, group of persons, or organization.

THAT Council reconvene in Open Session at 7:15 p.m.

THAT the Agenda as for January 26, 2026 be adopted, as amended.

THAT the Minutes of the December 22, 2025 Regular Council Meeting, and January 5, 2026 Committee of the Whole be adopted as presented.

THAT Report COR-2026-01 - Prime Ministers Path Community Steering Committee Terms of Reference be received for information; and, THAT the Prime Ministers Path Community Steering Committee Terms of Reference attached as Attachment 1, be approved.

THAT Report COR-2026-02 - 2026 Interim Tax Levy be received for information; and, THAT Council considers By-law 2026-02 to set the due dates for interim billing of property taxes for 2026; and, THAT Council directs staff to encourage increased participation in the Township’s pre-authorized payment program for property taxes.

THAT Report IS-2025-42- Petersburg Distribution Water System - Budget Considerations be received for information; and, THAT Council approve the following budget allocation for the Petersburg Watermain Replacement $1,136,530 from the Annual Roads Resurfacing Program over 2 years; $1,447,310 from the Tax Levy for Storm Sewer, Curbs, Gutter and Sidewalk over 2 years; and, $2,463,260 to be attributed to a Local Improvement Act Levy on the properties; and, THAT staff return with updated construction costs and Construction Oversight and Contract Administration post-tendering in early 2026.

THAT Report IS-2026-01 - Annual Traffic Calming Report - 2025 be received for information.

THAT By-Law 2026-02 as attached to this Agenda be read a first, second and third time, and finally passed in Open Council.

THAT the Confirmatory By-Law as attached to this Agenda be read a first, second and third time, and finally passed in Open Council.

THAT we do now adjourn to meet again at the call of the Mayor.
